McKee-Pownall Equine Services FEI Groom Appreciation Showcase Premier

After much deliberation from the FEI ground jury John Taylor (CAN) and Chrystine Tauber (USA), Flower, ridden by Conor Swail along with caretaker Nathaniel Tucker was presented with the winning award for the premier McKee-Pownall Equine Services FEI Groom Appreciation Showcase.

Selection of the award recipient was determined during the FEI CSI2* horse inspection at the Caledon National CSI2*Horse Show, May 17-21, 2017 held at the Caledon Equestrian Park in Caledon, ON.

Each horse participating in the FEI CSI2* horse inspection was considered for the award based on their appearance and overall presentation. Flower, a twelve- year- old Belgian warmblood mare owned by Vanessa Mannix & Chinook Valley was presented by Nathaniel Tucker and topped the crowd to be recognized as this week winners.

Mckee-Pownall Equine services, offering equine veterinary care focusing on: Lameness, Sport Horse Medicine, Pre-Purchase Exams, Dentistry, Preventative Health Care and Emergency Services sponsors the new FEI Groom Appreciation award. Offered at all 5 of this years CSI events held at the Caledon Equestrian Park, there is more than one opportunity to challenge for the title.

Nathanial was presented with a $200 prize money cheque along with a prize pack donated by Mckee-Pownall Equine Services to show appreciation to the grooms that make it happen behind the scenes.

The Mckee-Pownall Equine Services FEI Groom Appreciation Showcase will be awarded again during next week’s Classic at Palgrave Phase 2 CSI2* running from May 23rd – 28th, 2017.
